Described in 1871 by Austrian naturalist Anton Ausserer as Lasiocnemus grossus, but moved to the Grammostola genus in 1994 by Gnter Schmidt. These awesome terrestrial spiders have a beautiful silvery color that will be an eye popper in any collection.
