Pear | HighlandHighland is a cross between Bartlett and Comice, both of which are excellent pears in their own right. The advantage of this cross is that it ripens later than Bartlett and will hold in cool storage for 4 months so that the fruit can be enjoyed in January. Highland pears are yellow with a slight blush. The large fruit is flavourful and sweet while the flesh is meltingly smooth. Productive tree ripening in early October.
