Nocturne, Oysterhaven, Co. CorkOysterhaven is only a short drive from Kinsale, but on a clear evening it feels properly remote. I made this photograph during civil twilight, after the sun had dropped below the horizon and left that band of warm orange light fading over the fields. The lone tree on the crest of the hill was the obvious anchor for the composition, its bare silhouette sharp against the colour. What I like about this image is the depth in the sky.
