Polar Bear Plunge, Barents SeaThe Barents Sea in summer, and the pack ice is breaking apart. Thousands of fractured floes stretch to the horizon, white against dark water, the whole scene rendered in cold greys and blues under flat overcast light. Somewhere in the right of frame, a polar bear is making its way through the channels between the ice. You have to look for it. That's the point. I wanted to convey the sheer scale of this environment and how small even a large predator
