Heather Gems Square CufflinksHeathergems are handcrafted from the stems of Scottish heather. The heather is collected from the Perthshire hills. The stems are then dried, shot blasted to remove the bark and dyed in various colours. The stems are then mixed and compressed into a block. Approximately eighty tons of pressure is required to press the stems together. The insets are then handcrafted and lacquered. No two items are ever the same, making these unique to the owner as well
