Pear | OrcasA pear discovered as a chance seedling on one of the gulf islands in the Pacific Northwest. It displays excellent disease resistance and produces exceptionally large fruit. The fruit is a warm yellow blushed with a crimson red. The fruit is bright and sweet with soft buttery flesh. The Orcas pear is great for eating fresh but is also suitable canning and drying. It ripens in early to mid September and is ready to eat within a few days of picking.
