Iceberg I, GreenlandThis iceberg was drifting slowly through the waters off Greenland's coast, its broad flat base sitting heavy in the water while a sharp pyramidal peak rose above. The scale of it was remarkable. What looks like a modest formation from a distance turns out to be enormous when you get closer, the curved ice at the waterline worn smooth by the sea. The light was flat and overcast, which is actually ideal for ice. No harsh shadows, no blown highlights.
