Made of matte lacquered wood sticks which fold down neatly and expand again to make a whimsical take on the fruit bowl. A nod to post modern and Japanese style. 20 x 10 deep Carlo Contin designed the Satellite Bowl in 1999 for the New York Museum of Modern Art (MoMa). It is a tribute to the Sciangai Clothes Rack by De Pas, D'Urbino, Lomazzi which also uses the principle of apart falling self stabilizing
