Colourful scene featuring a busy Asian street in front of a pagoda, most likely from Hong Kong. The exhibition was opened on St George's Day (23 April) by King George V and Queen Mary at the Empire Stadium. Artwork by the Welsh artist, Gerald Spencer Pryse (1882 1956), commissioned to produce a series of posters for the Exhibition, Scenes of Empire, No P36.
