Near Kilkee, ClareThe cliffs near Kilkee drop vertically into water that has no business being that shade of turquoise. Not on an overcast day on the Clare coast. But there it is, churning between the rock stacks, throwing white spray against walls of dark layered stone. I made this from the cliff edge, close enough to feel the thump of each wave through the ground. The flat, diffused light actually works in favour of the colour here. Direct sun would have blown out
