Syracuse Otto the Orange HoodieAfter the discontinuation of previous mascots in the late 1970s, Syracuse debuted a peculiar new mascot an orange in a baseball cap. Eventually, the cheerleaders named him Otto, after he was simply known as The Orange from 1980 to 1990.
