Peak I, Charlotte Bay, Antarctic PeninsulaCharlotte Bay sits on the western side of the Antarctic Peninsula, and on the day I made this photograph the mountains were almost entirely swallowed by cloud. Almost. This single peak broke through, dark rock and snow catching what little light was available, while everything below vanished into a wall of grey. I love when conditions do this. The fog removes all context, all sense of scale. You're left with a summit floating in nothing, disconnected
